Back in the FIGHT-O!

Hello all!

It's been quite some time since fresh news popped up here, huh? ;D

Now that the initial barrage of this wild summer has quieted down (and believe me, it has been WILD), I took some time today to thoroughly look into a few issues that were plaguing my ability to properly update the site (much less in a quick manner like I used to be). As a result of these efforts, updates have FINALLY been made!

SO. For those of you who found your way here via other methods besides my social media (which I keep the most up to date), I've since joined the team at Kaiju Big Battel (a huge honor and what will likely be filling my "Events" tab for quite some time, hahah) and helped out the good people at Crunchyroll as an emcee for their inaugural Crunchyroll Expo. In particular, I hosted the CRX Chats, Mario Mashup, and Masquerade ULTRA DELUXE event (which I also had a hand in crafting). I expect to be adding CRX 2017 media in the highlights playlist as well once individual segments are made available on Youtube.

Lastly of the major updates, I've FINALLY added an Editing Reel to my Media section, as well as a few new images reflecting my current look+affiliation with Team Kaiju, so feel free to hop on over there to check those out!

Whether I've directed you here for a real-time entertainment resume or you've found me through my work/performances/etc., I hope you'll find what you're looking for here...I appreciate the continued support from all of you, and a hearty welcome all the new faces to my site!

Hello all!

Summer is mostly over, and I can't believe how quickly it's all gone! Between boothwork for FUNimation at Acen, Viz Media at Otakon, seeing FLOW live at Anime Next, collaborating with DPiddy for the Amiibo Rap, making a surprise appearance at ScrewAttack.com's SGC event to be a part of the Goku/Superman 2 "Death Battle" premiere, AND having numerous future project milestones be complete in between, it's been pretty hectic up to now! *_*

Some of what I've mentioned here will have video footage put into the highlight reel when available, but otherwise, I've been having a blast meeting/spending time with some of you at all these events!

Liberty City Anime Con in White Plains, NY is the next one on the list, and while I just have Masquerade and Q&A listed, I'll also be opening for all the musical guests at the show. EDIT (8/21/2015): Apologies, I will no longer be at this event.

Also, I meant to share this a while back but never got to, so please check out this story...after the summer I've had and what still lies ahead, I figure it's worth sharing since it may as well be an alternate "bio" for me at this point, hahah. ;D

A Tale of Mario and Fifteen Years of Anime's Influence.

I hope all of you have been having a wonderful summer, and I can't wait to have more new content to share as the year progresses! :D

...Ok, ok, not the best paraphrasing, but I'M TRYING HERE! XD

Hello all, and welcome to the first post of 2015! The year is already off to a fun start having just been to MAGFest (purely recreational) and Katsucon (to once again host Katsucon Idol), but there's gonna be a LOT more going down in April!

To copy/paste from my Facebook post on the matter...I'm excited to be celebrating my tenth anniversary attending Anime Boston by co-hosting masquerade for the third time, as well as proudly holding down the fort for American Cosplay Paradise the rest of the weekend!

Then, I'll be rolling into Detroit the next week for Midwest Media Expo, which I spent part of last year adventuring around to promote, to once again host the World Cosplay Summit US Finals!

I may have one or two more appearances that month in the New York area after that, but I'm still waiting for final word on those, so my apologies for the tease. ;D

I also have a new project which is going to start up in full this month, so expect an announcement about that soon as well!

I hope all of you are having a good start to the year and I look forward to sharing more cool stuff with you as the months progress. Take care, stay warm (for those of you dealing with brutal winter climates, hahah), and see you guys again in April!

Hello all!

I know it's been extra quiet here on the site, with even social media being in flux for some time (and will be again starting in two days), but VERY long story short, 2014 has not been the best year both personally AND professionally. I had numerous projects/obligations come up from the start (with even a few more by the midpoint), and they've either all fallen apart or become such drastic time drains that I've had to start stepping back from them to re-evaluate things from a personal standpoint.

I'm hoping that when 2015 rolls around I'll be able to offer more cool stuff and, if not the fulfillment of projects that have been in the works for a long time, new ones that I can present to take their place. On the plus side, at least the event schedule for the year ended on a positive note. Bringing joy to others in a dark (k)night is pretty good therapy for the soul, hahah. ;D

EDIT (12/14/14): This letter from one of the children who attended was posted and I wanted to share it with all of you since it perfectly encapsulates everything I just mentioned:

"Everyone has their own stories from Saturday... but mine comes from the little boy who quietly sat in back with his mother and left a letter- written in crayon that said...

'Dear Santa.

We don't have a home right now so thank you for letting me come to your home (Salt Creek) today for Christmas. Today was the first day I have not seen my mom cry in a long time and that is the 'bestest' thing (his words) even more than the present I got. Please tell Batman and all his friends thank you for being nice to me. I promise to do better next year so I can see you again. Please don't forget us.

Love,

Stephen J.' "

To those of you who've had a good year, good on ya. For those of you who, like me, have been crushed underfoot by a brutal year...let's keep on keepin' on together. Maybe then we can be heroes to someone else in their own hour of suffering.

Happy holidays to all, and to all a happy 2015!
