After a long year, the first original music album I've been privileged to work on is finally live! Please enjoy it, and also note that the Bonus Tracks have changed somewhat after careful discussion with my wonderful composer Nathaniel Chambers
Please enjoy/share/buy this album as these seven tracks have been representative of a long journey for me, not just personally, but professionally as well...a journey I hope to share with you through this music. ^_^
I know this update is coming rather late considering its importance, but I just wanted y'all to know:"(A)rise" is now available for pre-orders. ;D
You can either find it thru my Facebook page's new music page
or on the official album page mentioned above! Full details are on the page, and album art is coming soon! The full album release is 4/17/2013, so keep your eyes peeled and please spread the word.
It's been a long road to get to this moment, and I still have a long way to go, but I look forward to sharing the journey with all of you! *_*
(And for those of you I'll be seeing at PAX East for the reading I'll be a part of
, I look forward to sharing the first PAX Experience of The Next Step.)
I'm going to keep this one short and sweet as the description tells it all. Enjoy this blast from the past as I share the song that carried me to California three years ago
, and is responsible for bringing me back for my next great adventure.
Still not home from Katsucon
, but I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who made this weekend worth it. Despite how weird of a con it was from every angle, I was so happy to see so many friends of mine who I know I won't see again til this time next year (at earliest), and it was wonderful to meet some new people along the way as well!
The first highlight I need to gush about were the two days chock full of the first strictly "for fun" cosplay photoshoots I've done at a big convention in years, both of which were dream shoots that brought together literally a decade of frienships made doing cosplay in the convention scene, it was another meaningful milestone to add to the Katsucon experiences that I've had since 2005. For this, I am deeply overwhelmed and grateful, so thank you to all my friends who made that possible. <3
It was an honor to once again be a part of one of my favorite masquerades that I've always had a great time at (whether competing/emceeing), and it was a delight to share this experience with both one of my favorite longtime cosplay peeps in Imari Yumiki
and my surprise Masquerade halftime guest Uncle Yo
I also wish to humbly apologize about the fiasco with halftime: through no fault of the Masquerade team at all, they were forced to cut my performance literally seconds before I was slated to come out and perform because live programming wouldn't let them run until the scheduled 9:00pm slot due to a needed sound check for the following event. Due to the sudden delay in skipping ahead to the awards that occurred thereafter, I stepped in after a few uncomfortable minutes to keep the show's coordinator from being further "put on the spot", so to speak, while also attempting to salvage the big surprise I had as a token of gratitude to Uncle Yo and to the folks who I know made the trip to event just to support me.
I also owe thanks to AMV Creators Rider4Z
for their aid in giving me footage for the video that accompanied the performance as the craziness of the lat minute shift caused me to forget to thank them both. Check out l33tmeatwad's "Clubbin' With Lupin"
for footage he was kind enough to share with me to help me save time in getting the video together in between everything else for Katsucon. ^_^
It's been a long journey to get to this point, and I can't wait to finish the transition to the next. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, and I can't wait to share the last few projects I'm working on for y'all before I head out West for a while!
