Mario is a vocalist, actor, emcee, indie game developer, and producer specializing in nerd culture content creation. His training includes acting training at New York's LEE STRASBERG THEATER AND FILM INSTITUTE , voice-over training at EDGE STUDIOS NYC , private voice coaching at THE NEW YORK CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC , and years of youth/amateur theater. He has appeared on ANIME NEWS NETWORK in their 2007-2008 news webisodes , as a host for FREDERATOR NETWORKS' Youtube gaming channel THE LEADERBOARD (as well as the animation-focused CHANNEL FREDERATOR ), SCREEN RANT 's YOUTUBE CHANNEL , and served as a reviewer/presenter for toy blog TTPM . Video production credits under his production brand DIGITAL ERA ENTERTAINMENT include the 2005 fan film FINAL FANTASY VS KAIJU BIG BATTEL , the 2009-2010 web series DOUJINOPOLIS , and the TELLY AWARD -WINNING 2025 machinima miniseries MALEVELON CREEK: A VERY DEMOCRATIC MINISERIES . From 2017-2018, he served as Lead Announcer for long-running performance troupe KAIJU BIG BATTEL . His emceeing background extends back to his high school days running open mics, and he has been emceeing professionally at events across the country since 2009. Highlights include numerous years of hosting at fan events such as ANIME BOSTON and GALAXYCON , livestreamed panels/events for BANDAI-NAMCO ENTERTAIMENT AMERICA , and concerts for music artists such as EIR AOI . In 2010, he became the first male AX Idol Singing Winner at ANIME EXPO , and in 2011 was a Semifinalist in BROADWAY.TV'S NEXT BROADWAY STAR contest. In 2013, he released his first album entitled "(A)RISE" and represented the United States placing in the Top 3 at the WORLD KARAOKE GRAND PRIX COSPLAY sponsored by WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT and LIVE DAM . Since 2008, he has consistently been involved with promotional event staffing/management for companies such as BANDAI-NAMCO ENTERTAIMENT , CRUNCHYROLL , VIZ MEDIA and PONY CANYON both independently and through affiliates such as AMERICAN COSPLAY PARADISE (2008-2020). He juggles this with daily responsibilities overseeing DIGITAL ERA ENTERTAINMENT as well as regularly monitoring+hosting content for the brand's TWITCH CHANNEL and working on content such as the brand's upcoming pro wrestling themed Visual Novel KOKORO NO PRO .
