So with San Diego Comic Con finally behind me, here's a quick video update of my appearances as Goku and Yamcha in the FUNimation Blog coverage of the event: Part I - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tj4GHa644Js Part II - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_zzMgvBnOU Long videos were long, but that's four days worth of stuff jammed into them...with plenty of my trademark Gokucam included! Give it a watch to see what I did while I was out there. ^_^ Also, in the aftermath, I had the pleasure to record my demo that I'd won at AX Idol with the wonderful Jason C. Miller! Yes, the same one who not only wrote and produced the song "Game On" for the Season 4 promo for The Guild, but who makes a lulzy cameo in the video as well! :-D It's been an exciting July, and with new things in place for the rest of the year, it should be even better! I'll be posting with new updates as I get them. So did anyone go to Anime Expo this year? Really? Well, funny story.... See, they have a voiceover and singing contest call AX Idol, right? I may or may not have mentioned this before. Well, to make a long story short (and give you more reason to check the video updates), after a hard fought battle and meeting many wonderful and talented people, I not only won the singing contest, but became it's first male singing winner! *____* I'm so unbelievably honored and grateful to have had so much support going into the contest, and I'm so unbelievably happy to have pulled off the victory under nerve-wracking circumstances. The first available performance video is up (and added to the video section as well), and I'll update with anything new as it comes along. 'Til then, I have to rest, get back on top of some projects, and get ready for some shenanigans at the San Diego Comic Con in a few short weeks...and maybe figure out when I'm scheduling the demo recording I earned, lol. ^_~;;; Here's to a bright tomorrow, as with this success, I'm fairly certain I've been able to make a very important impression with many people who I've worked hard to show what I can offer. Well everyone, it's been a good past week, and looking ahead, it's getting even better: - Cosplay Party 2.0 was a success, and I'm more than happy with how the performance went there. Doing "Whose Line"-style improv with my cosplay buddies, BSing on stage with Uncle Yo, taking in an interesting art exhibit, watching some Anime, and just generally having a great time socially, it was great to see Japan Society put on another wonderful mixer that celebrated the rising cosplay scene in NYC. And, of course, it was great to be a part of it this year in an official capacity. ^_~ - Videos are starting to go up from the event, and I've added one of my favorites (one that I've joked is my first music video because of the editing style) to the Hall of Fame section, so check that out! I'm also getting in some video from the Sakura Matsuri as well, so check out my Youtube page under the "Anime Con Performances" section if you want to see some videos from that event as well. As usual, my brief periods of rest are only giving way to more work...which is always good! I'll be posting some upcoming projects, and also, if you're going to be at Anime Expo, keep an eye out as I'll be around doing promo work (TBA) and taking a crack at AX Idol! So with the Matsuri behind me (pics and videos starting to come in, so I'll update with a few links over time), it's time to work on my next project which was just inked and upgraded this weekend: Japan Society's Cosplay Party 2.0! Some of you may have seen my interview in Time Out New York (with the funniest misquoting of my job ever) from last year's Cosplay Party at this venue, so with that in mind, you can imagine my excitement for this year! I'll be performing at some point during the 6pm-8:30pm costume contest, also cheering on my buddy Uncle Yo, who'll be hosting the event!
